Who We Are
Smartnet Networks Limited is a Zambian Information and Communication Technologies Company that was started by indigenous telecoms engineers in 2006 as a provider of a broad range of hardware and software services. After success at the height of the rejuvenation of Zambia’s economic fortunes, the strategic decision was made to secure the license for, and to invest in, the burgeoning Fibre Optic sector by building a Metropolitan network in the capital Lusaka.
This business has grown since 2010 to 76% of turnover and the network has been organically built and expanded via ploughback to 1300km in Lusaka with an additional 800kms of network presence in the Copperbelt province towns from Chililabombwe to Ndola, plus an additional 400km of nodes in the new mining frontier town of Solwezi, in Kasama in the North, in Chipata to the East near the Malawi border, in Mongu to the west ,in the southern towns of Mazabuka and Choma and finally in Livingstone that borders Zimbabwe. The firm now employs 100 employees.

Fiber Network Coverage in Zambia
Smartnet provides surveys and network design as well as specification of required equipment for access of fiber solutions. We handle project management and support and maintenance. We have installed Optic Fiber in all ten (10) provinces of Zambia.
